Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race at the Frisco Nordic Center

Frisco Freeze Winter Fat Bike Race on February 17, 2024

The Frisco Nordic Center will host the 8th Annual Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The race will start at 3:00 pm near the Nordic Center lodge and will be the only chance to ride a fat bike on the Frisco Nordic Center trails this season. Like in 2023, the course will avoid soft single track, and racers will complete two laps of groomed Nordic ski trails for a total distance of 14k. Juniors will complete one lap for a total distance of 7k. The racecourse will be open from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on race day to offer registered racers a chance to pre-ride.

Racers can register for one of six categories: open men, open women, masters men 45+, masters women 45+, junior boys 17 and under, and junior girls 17 and under. Awards will be given to the top three racers in each category. The awards ceremony and post-race party will take place immediately following the race at the Frisco Nordic Center, where pizza, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

Registration fees are $45 for adults and $35 for youth 17 and under, and will include a commemorative gift. Pre-registration will close at 12:00 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024, and day-of registration will be available from 1:30 pm-2:45 pm on the front deck of the Frisco Nordic Center lodge. Online registration and more information are available at FriscoNordic.com. Participants may also register by calling 970-668-2570.
