Frisco Full Moon Freeze Winter Fat Bike Race

New for this year, the Frisco Full Moon Freeze winter fat bike race will take place under the glow of the full moon, on Wednesday, February 12 at 6:15pm. Don’t miss your chance to race under the stars at the Frisco Nordic Center, where the trails are illuminated by the moonlight, offering a thrilling and unique experience.

The Frisco Nordic Center typically doesn’t allow winter fat biking on its groomed trails, but Frisco Freeze is the exception! It’s your exclusive opportunity to ride the pristine, moonlit course and test your skills on a one-of-a-kind adventure. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or just looking to enjoy the magic of a night-time ride, this event promises to be unforgettable. Register and get ready for a spectacular race!

New 2025 Courses- Nine Mile & 12-Mile Options

It turns out our Nordic Center Manager, Pete, is actually a fat biker in disguise! For the all-new 2025 course, we gave him the challenge of creating the ultimate fat bike route using every trail at the Nordic Center. The result? A thrilling 12-mile loop that delivers a mix of punchy climbs, fast, drifty descents, and everything in between to keep riders on their toes. For those looking for a slightly easier option, the “short course” offers a nine mile loop that bypasses the toughest climbs but still provides a memorable tour of the best trails the Nordic Center has to offer.

Cut Off Time

There will be a hard cut off time at the nine mile and 12-mile juncture. For 12-mile racers that do not make that cut-off time and get diverted to the nine mile course, these individuals will be placed into the nine mile course race results.
