Frisco Freeze Winter Fat Bike Race

8th Annual Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race

Join us for the 8th Annual Frisco Freeze Fat Bike Race at the Frisco Nordic Center. This is your one chance this winter to ride your fat bike on the Frisco Nordic trails! This fun course showcases amazing views of Buffalo Mountain and the Ten Mile Range.


2024 Registration Fees

Registration fee includes: a well marked course, a registration gift, post race food, and a beer (for racers 21+ only) from Highside brewing. Pre-registration will close at 12:00pm on Thursday, February 15, 2024. Day-of registration will be available from 1:30pm-2:45pm on the front deck of the Frisco Nordic Center.

  • Adult (18+) – $45
  • Youth (17 and under) – $35

Course Map

  • 2022 Course Map (14k)
  • Course opens for pre-riding at 2pm on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
  • Racers will complete two laps for a total distance of 14k. Juniors will race one 7k lap.
  • Course description: The entire course will be on snowcat-groomed Nordic trails: fast, flowing and fun (no soft singletrack).

Competing in the Race


  • Open Men
  • Open Women
  • Masters Men 45+
  • Masters Women 45+
  • Junior Boys 17 & Under
  • Junior Girls 17 & Under


Awards will be give to the top three racers in each category listed above. Award ceremony will take place immediately following the race on the back deck of the Frisco Nordic Center.


All racers will receive a commemorative gift.

Post-Race Party

Post-race party will take place at the Frisco Nordic Center and all racers will receive post race food and a beer(for those 21+).
