Event Info
Join us for the 9th Annual Girls on the Run 5k in Frisco! This celebratory, non-competitive event is the culminating experience of a 10 week program that is open to girls in 3rd through 5th grade. Completing the 5k gives the girls a tangible understanding of the confidence that comes through accomplishment as well as a framework for setting and achieving life goals. Crossing the finish line is a defining moment when the girls realize that even the seemingly impossible IS possible.
You don’t have a family member in the Girls on the Run Program? Don’t fret; this race IS open to the public and offers a relatively flat course with spectacular views of the Dillon Reservoir, Buffalo Mountain, and Mount Royal.
Registration
Online registration will be available through the Girls on the Run Western Colorado program.
Registration Fees
Please check back for details on registration fees.
Packet Pick Up
Day-of packet pick-up will also be available from 9:30am – 10:30am at Summit Middle School.
Course
The course will be an out-and-back on the Summit County Recreation Path. Due to the anticipated high number of racers, we will start the race in waves. Waves will be assigned by school; if you’re not affiliated with a school then jump in any wave you’d like! This is a fun run and the race will not be timed.
Please leave your dogs at home; this is a no pet event. Strollers are welcome, however, you must start at the end of the last wave. No exceptions.
Parking
Parking will be available at Summit Middle School. Please follow the directions given by parking attendants. Follow the ‘racer drop-off’ signs if you are simply dropping off a racer and do not need to park.
Volunteer
More information about volunteering for the Frisco Girls on the Run 5k will be available soon. Volunteer duties include registration, start/finish line help, course marshals, parking, and aid station help.
Awards
No awards will be given at this 5k; it is a non-competitive, fun run!
Timing
This is a fun run and the race will not be timed.
