The Breckenridge Whiskey Rub It, Smoke It, Sip It BBQ Tour
Colorado BBQ Challenge Postponed to Friday, September 25 & Saturday, September 26, 2020
In light of the ongoing uncertainty, and in the interest of the health of our mountain community and event participants, the Town of Frisco has decided to postpone the 27th Annual Colorado BBQ Challenge which was scheduled for June 19-20, 2020. This was a difficult decision, as the event is a community favorite and an important fundraiser for many of our local non-profits. This later date will provide us all with some time to heal, regroup, and move with an optimistic spirit towards the future. Please continue to practice social distancing, and take good care of yourselves and your loved ones so that we can celebrate with you in the fall.
What is the Whiskey Tour?
The Whiskey Tour is all about unlocking the secrets of some delicious behind the scenes BBQ, while tasting award winning whiskey from the Breckenridge Distillery. This is a sell out each year because of stellar goodie bags (there’s a bottle of whiskey and commemorative glass in there) and lots of behind the scenes BBQ nibbles and tips. The Whiskey Tour is a collaboration between the Breckenridge Distillery, the Colorado BBQ Challenge and the Rocky Mountain BBQ Association, and it begins in the Frisco Historic Park’s Log Chapel in the heart of historic Frisco. Every year the Tour focuses on a different aspect of BBQing, with usable tips and tricks for competing BBQers.
