Gold Rush Nordic Races

51st Annual Frisco Gold Rush

Back for 2022, join us for the 51st Annual Frisco Gold Rush. Gold Rush is the longest running Nordic event in Colorado, and consists of classic and skate races open to skiers of all ages and abilities. Gold Rush is where the past and present come together to celebrate our historical mining heritage and embrace our snowy Nordic culture.

Pre-registration is closed. Day-of registration will be available starting at 8:45am on Saturday, February 12th inside the Wax Tent at the Frisco Nordic Center.

2022 Registration Fees

Kids 1k Fun Ski

  • Youth (under 18) – $10

5k Skate Ski

  • Adult (18+) – $30
  • Youth (under 18) – $10

10k Skate OR Classic

  • Adult (18+) – $50
  • Youth (under 18) – $40

20k Skate Ski

  • Adult (18+) – $60
  • Youth (under 18) – $50

Racer Gift

All 5k, 10k, and 20k racers will receive a pair of Frisco socks with their race registration. All racers will receive a warm bowl of soup after their race. Racers 21+ will receive one free beer.

2022 Start Times

Race options in 2022 included a 20k Skate Race, 10k Skate & Classic Races, 5k Skate Race, and a Kids 1k Fun Ski.

10:00am – 20k Skate Ski Race

10:15am – 10k Skate Ski Race

10:17am – 10k Classic Ski Race

11:30am – 5k Skate Ski Race

11:35am – Kids 1k Fun Ski

1:00pm – Award Ceremony

Events will be timed by Maverick Sports.

Racer Responsibility

You are participating in this race at your own risk. You will encounter mountain terrain. You could encounter hazardous weather or wildlife during this race. The race director reserves the right to cancel, delay or postpone the race due to inclement weather. Refunds are not available.

Skiing with Music

If you choose to wear headphones during the race, we ask that you remove one ear bud. It is important that all racers can hear what is going on around them. Racers must be respectful of other trail users.
