Non-Profit Fundraising Opportunities at Frisco Events

The Town of Frisco Recreation Department recognizes the importance of non-profit organizations in our community and wants to reward them for their service and commitment to community. This year, the Town of Frisco is offering fundraising opportunities available to local non-profits that provide volunteers for various aspects of town events.

Summer 2024 Event Opportunities

The Town of Frisco will be offering event partnership opportunities for our recreation events in 2024. The compensation is $100 per hour, with a minimum of two people assisting at the aid station, packet pickup, or other duties as assigned.

  • Frisco Triathlon on Friday, July 12, 2024
    • Number of volunteers: at least eight from 7:00 AM-2:30 PM
  • Run the Rockies Trail Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k on Saturday, August 10, 2024
    • Number of volunteers: at least six from 7:00 AM-1:00 PM
  • Run the Rockies Road Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k on Saturday, September 21, 2024
    • Number of volunteers: at least six from 7:00 AM-1:00 PM

Volunteer Requirements

  • Non-profits will provide the required number of volunteers for each event for the specified date and time.
  • Volunteers will arrive on time to the volunteers’ pre-race meeting to learn where they are stationed and what they will be doing.
  • Volunteers must stay for the entire shift.

Eligibility and Application Guidelines for 2024

  • Non-profit partners must be a 501(c)(3) (6) or (7) in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service.
  • All non-profit organizations must be located and have a physical address within Summit County.

Application Timeline

Applications for 2024 partnership opportunities with the Recreation Department will be available on this page from Friday, March 15, 2024 to Friday, March 29, 2024. Applications are due at 5:00 PM on March 29, 2024. No acceptations will be for late applicants. Non-profits will be notified of their selection status no later than Friday, April 12, 2024.

Selection Criteria

  • A non-profit must submit a complete and accurate application by March 29, 2024 at 5:00 PM.
  • A non-profit must have a physical location and address within Summit County.
  • A non-profit must be able to recruit volunteers and fulfill the event requirements.
  • All non-profit applications that meet the above criteria will be eligible for partnership.
  • If there are more eligible applications than event opportunities, selection will be determined by a random drawing process, where each organization will receive one entry
