2026 Park After Dark Events

June 27, 2026 – 8:30pm-10:30pm
Stars and Scopes

Have a telescope of your own but don’t know quite how to use all the bells and whistles?

On Saturday, June 27, from 8:30 pm – 10:30 pm at the Historic Park Gazebo, AstroMark and his team will invite attendees to learn about how to use telescopes to observe the night sky. This will be a chance to learn about your telescope if you own one and haven’t had a chance to figure out all the features, as well as checking out one of the free telescopes onsite.

There will be two opportunities to participate:

1- Attendees may sign up for a guided walking tour with star gazing. Attendees will learn how to identify constellations while learning their history and mythology, during this free guided walking tour and exploration of Summit County’s sky.

The two walking tours will be at 9:30pm and 9:45pm and will be 40 minutes in duration. Space is limited to 10 participants, and advance registration is strongly recommended. To reserve your spot, please call the Frisco Historic Park & Museum at 970-668-3428.

2- Attendees may bring their own telescopes to the Frisco Historic Park Gazebo or use one of the telescopes provided onsite. This option does not require a reservation.

Please bring a jacket and wear comfortable shoes.

August 11, 2026 – 9:00pm-11:00pm
Astronomy with AstroMark

AstroMark is back on August 11, 2026, at the Historic Park Gazebo during the peak of the Perseids Meteor Shower! Attendees will have the chance to learn about the night sky during the peak of the Perseids Meteor Shower, including information about how to navigate the stars with AstroMark.

There will be two opportunities to participate:

1- Attendees may sign up for walking tour where they will learn how to identify constellations, while learning their history and mythology. This is a free new moon guided walking tour and exploration of Summit County’s sky with telescopes.

The walking tours will start at 9:00pm, 9:15pm, 10:00pm, and 10:15pm and will be 40 minutes in duration. Space is limited to 10 participants, and advance registration is strongly recommended. To reserve your spot, please call the Frisco Historic Park & Museum at 970-668-3428.

September 19, 2026 – 6:30pm-9:30pm
Silent Disco in the Schoolhouse

Come dance among the artifacts with a free Silent Disco on September 19, 2026, at 6:30pm. No registration is required! Building Hope will be on-site serving mocktails alongside a free pop-up temporary, water-based tattoo booth.
