Frisco History Day

Event Info

Frisco History Day, formerly called Frisco Founder’s Day, returns on July 10, 2021, with games, music, crafts, food, and entertainment for the whole family!

Frisco History Day celebrates the past, present, and future of Frisco with a picnic in the park, and will feature free Town tours led by Museum staff, gold panning, lawn games, and a pie baking contest. The day will also include take-home arts and crafts, chalk art, and an interactive artifact tent where visitors can touch displays.

The highlight this year is a pie baking contest! Submit your best pie for our local panel of judges to taste. Deliver your pie between 9:00am and 11:00am to the Schoolhouse Museum on Saturday, July 10. Prizes for the top three pies include a La Creuset gift basket donated by the Silverthorne La Creuset shop, a pontoon boat rental from the Frisco Bay Marina, and a private Historic Town Tour led by Museum staff. Winners will be announced that afternoon.

Drop by our craft tent to snag a Frosted Flamingo take-home craft kit inspired by the handmade, homespun decorations of Frisco’s past. You can also sit awhile and make a puppet! A great hands-on craft for the whole family.

Stop by our artifact tent to learn more about trapping and trading in the Rocky Mountains and the mines of Frisco. This is one place you can touch everything!
