Registration Now Open for Run The Rockies Trail 10K and Half Marathon

The Town of Frisco recently opened registration for Run the Rockies Trail 10k and Half Marathon, which will take place at the Frisco Peninsula on Saturday, August 10, 2024. The Run the Rockies Trail 10k and Half Marathon will lead runners through the Frisco Peninsula trails with breathtaking views of Dillon Reservoir and the Ten Mile Range. This is a great course for a first-time half-marathoner or runner looking for a fun course that offers single track and dirt road trails. Racers will start and finish at the Frisco Nordic Center. When and Where

Saturday, August 10, 2024 with the start at the Frisco Nordic Center

  • Wave 1 of the half marathon will start at 8:00 am. Waves will be released every three minutes.
  • Wave 1 of the 10k will start at 8:30 am. Waves will be released every three minutes.

Cost

10K

  • Adult (18+) registration with t-shirt – $55*
  • Adult (18+) registration without t-shirt – $40
  • Youth (under 18) registration with t-shirt – $45*
  • Youth (under 18) registration without t-shirt – $30

HALF MARATHON

  • Adult (18+) registration with t-shirt – $75*
  • Adult (18+) registration without t-shirt – $60
  • Youth (under 18) registration with t-shirt – $65*
  • Youth (under 18) registration without t-shirt – $50

*T-shirt sizes are only guaranteed to racers who register before July 1, 2024.

All racers will receive a commemorative finisher item. Awards will go out to top three overall male and female finishers, as well as male and female age group winners.

Races will be chip-timed, and Maverick Sports will provide professional timing services. Anyone who would like to walk the race is highly encouraged to register for the 10k to be sure to make the cutoff time of 11:30 am.

Non-Profit Fundraising Opportunities

These races always need enthusiastic volunteers for check-in, registration, and on course support. The Town of Frisco will compensate participating non-profits $100 per station, per hour, with a required minimum of two volunteers for each station or position. To be considered eligible, non-profit partners must be a 501 C (3) (6) or (7) in good standing with the IRS, must have a physical address in Summit County, and must be able to recruit volunteers and fulfill the event requirements. Applications are now being accepted at FriscoVolunteer.com until Friday, March 29, 2024 at 5:00 pm.
