2024 Frisco BrewSki is Sold Out

On Saturday, March 9, 2024, the Town of Frisco will host the Frisco BrewSki, a beer festival on skis at the Frisco Nordic Center. Participants are encouraged to wear their best costumes, as they ski along the Nordic Center trails to sample beers from seven Colorado and Wyoming breweries: Broken Compass Brewing, Highside Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, Wibby Brewing, Outer Range Brewing Co, Roadhouse Brewing, and Melvin Brewing.

BrewSki is not a race, rather, it is a chance to ski with friends and family, throw on costumes, and enjoy a beer tasting tour on scenic trails. The event will not be timed, and prizes will be awarded for best individual and group costumes, most ridiculous costume to ski in, and more.

“March skiing is often associated with funny costumes and après, and cross-country skiing is no exception. BrewSki is fun and social celebration with seven exceptional breweries to sample from, it’s guaranteed this event will sell out again this year!” stated Linsey Joyce, Recreation Director for the Town of Frisco.

Skiing and beer sampling will take place from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, starting at the Frisco Nordic Center lodge, and continuing onto the Nordic Center’s groomed, scenic trails. The after party, from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Frisco Nordic Center lodge and deck, will wrap up the day with more libations and a costume contest. Non-alcoholic beverages will also be served at tasting tents on the trail and at the after party.

Classic cross-country or skate skis are recommended for this event, but participants may also use snowshoes, AT, or telemark equipment. All participants must wear skis or snowshoes; tennis shoes or snow boots are not allowed on the groomed Nordic trails to prevent damage to these groomed trails. Discounted rentals will be available for $15 for all BrewSki participants starting at 12:30pm on Saturday, March 9 on a first-come, first-rented basis. The course follows the mellower terrain offered at the Frisco Nordic Center and is designed to accommodate participants of a wide range of skill levels.

Registration is $50 for adults, and $20 for youth under 18. Registration includes: a taster cup, beer sampling for participants who are 21 years or older, and a Nordic Center trail pass, as well as giveaways and prizes for costumes. Registration is now closed and the event is sold out. No day of registration will be available.

A portion of the proceeds will go to Friends of the Dillon Ranger District who will be helping judge the costume contest and serve beverages. Frisco BrewSki is sponsored by the Town of Frisco, the Frisco Nordic Center, Broken Compass Brewing, Highside Brewing, New Belgium Brewing, Wibby Brewing, Outer Range Brewing Co, Roadhouse Brewing, Melvin Brewing, Friends of the Dillon Ranger District, and the Summit Daily.
