The Town of Frisco and Hope for Animals – Clear Creek Rescue will be hosting a costumed canine parade and street party on Saturday, February 25, 2023. Mardi Gras 4Paws, inspired by the Mystic Krewe of Barkus Parade in New Orleans, invites canines and their families to flaunt their best costumes down Main Street sidewalks from 3rd Avenue to 7th Avenue and back, with proceeds to benefit Hope for Animals – Clear Creek Rescue, which helps abandoned, lost, and suffering animals through rescue, shelter, and public education.
In conjunction with the parade, the “Yappy Hour” street party will take place on 3rd Avenue on the south side of Main Street between Main Street and the alley, from 2:30 – 4:00 pm. The party will include drinks, music, and a chance to win prizes and is followed by a costume contest for the best dressed canines. All animal lovers are welcome to attend this event, and bringing your own dog is not a requirement.
Registration is available online at TownofFrisco.com with fees of $20 for the first dog, plus $5 for each additional dog per family. Online registration will close on Friday, February 24, 2023.
