Frisco Historic Park & Museum and Summit County Libraries to Host Mystery at the Museum

The Frisco Historic Park & Museum and Summit County Libraries will host a free Mystery at the Museum game on October 22, 2022, from 2:00 – 6:00 pm at the Frisco Historic Park & Museum. Guests will have the opportunity to solve a murder that occurred in Frisco in 1881, through a series of interactions, clues, and puzzles. Participants who complete the game will be entered into a raffle for Frisco Museum swag, library swag, Frisco Adventure Park tubing hill passes, and other prizes from local businesses.

“This is a free and fun event to kick off spooky season. Participants will learn about some darker aspects of Frisco’s history, and can walk away with some great prizes while doing something unique with their friends and family,” stated Rose Gorrell, Frisco Historic Park & Museum manager.

The recommended age to participate is eight years and older due to content (historic murder, implied violence, and a light discussion of drinking and gambling). The Summit County Library will be hosting a craft tent in the Historic Park for the younger kids along with staff from SNO Education, who will help kids make Halloween lollipops with a STEAM twist.

Coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and a photo opportunity spot will be provided. Registration is not required for this event, and participants are invited to come anytime from 2:00 pm on, but the last group must start the game by 5:30 pm.

More information about this event may be found at FriscoHistoricPark.com or by emailing Museum@townoffrisco.com.

Questions and inquiries related to the craft tent and SNO Education STEAM activity can be directed to the Summit County Library at 970-668-4138.
