The newly formed Frisco Arts and Culture Council (FACC) is hosting the Frisco Arts Pop-Up: Ukes and Scoops this Sunday, September 17 from noon to 2:00 pm at the Frisco Bay Marina. The event will take place outside, near the Lund House deck. Everyone is invited to this pop-up event, which will include a free concert from SumUkes, as well as free ice cream from Stir-Pan Creamery provided by the FACC. The Island Grill will also be offering “artful” food and beverage specials during this time.
This Frisco Arts Pop-Up will also feature a meet and greet with FACC members, as well as some of the artists who completed the seven street murals on Main Street this summer. The FACC plans to offer surprising and imaginative Frisco Arts Pop-Ups at different locations throughout the year.
About the FACC
The Frisco Arts and Culture Council (FACC) was created by Town Council in January 2023 in response to the Frisco Five-Year Arts and Culture Strategic Plan. The FACC includes seven community members who have a deep interest in encouraging and growing programs and projects that support art and culture in Frisco for the benefit of the local community. These projects encompass everything from visual arts, such as the seven murals created on Main Street this summer, or events, like a pop-up concert.
More information about the FACC may be found at ArtsFrisco.com or by contacting Vanessa Agee, Communications Director and one of the staff liaisons to the FACC, at VanessaA@townoffrisco.com or 970-668-9120.
