What is Pickleball?
As quirky and inventive as its name implies, pickleball is a sports mashup combining elements of tennis, badminton, table tennis, and wiffleball. If you see people playing, chances are you’ll also see them giggling while having a blast chasing the lightweight ball around the court.
Due to its growing popularity and our love for outdoor sports, Frisco has an active pickleball league that plays here and around Summit County. While pickleball can be played either indoors or outdoors, the Frisco pickleball court is outdoors.
Pro tip: Pickleball doesn’t involve actual pickles, so BYOB (bring your own brine) if you’re craving pickles after reading this.

Where Can I Play Pickleball in and around Frisco?
Frisco’s outdoor pickleball courts are located about a mile from downtown Main Street at Summit Middle School. The courts are available when school is out of session for the summer. You can drive there or walk or bike via the Rec Path.
Because the court size, layout, and net are different for these two sports, we suggest that you don’t use our tennis courts to play pickleball.
