A Camp Experience That Stands Out
Campers spend their days doing what archaeologists actually do: discovering clues to the past, studying artifacts, recording observations, and working as part of a research team, all guided by experienced educators and archaeologists.
What Your Child Will Experience
- Real Field Survey:
Campers visit archaeological sites throughout Frisco, learning to identify artifacts, interpret the landscape, and use basic field tools safely and responsibly. - Hands-On Archaeology Activities:
Each day includes creative, educational projects such as artifact handling, mapping, mini-excavation exercises, soil studies, and experiments with ancient technologies. - Interactive Research Sessions:
Campers analyze materials, interpret evidence, and examine how archaeologists construct narratives about the past through science and collaboration. - Stewardship & Respect:
We teach campers the importance of protecting cultural resources and learning about our shared human past through hands-on activities and experiences at real-world archaeological sites.

How to Register
Registration for Archaeology Camp is online only. To ensure that our limited spots go to enthusiastic campers, we ask that children write a brief paragraph explaining why they are interested in this topic. This paragraph not only shows their interest in the camp but also prepares them for the world of research and writing used in archaeology.
Applications for Archaeology Camp will close on April 5, 2026, at 5:00 pm MST. Twelve applicants will be selected, and we will reach out by phone to those by April 10, 2026. No payment is due when completing the application form; a payment link will be sent after April 10, 2026. Please fill out the form below, and either type the paragraph in the space provided or add an attachment. If you have any questions about registration, please call us at 970-668-3428.
