Gold Medal Waters
Designated by the Colorado Wildlife Commission as providing great spots to catch those large trout. These waters are defined as being able to produce 60 pounds of trout per acre, and at least twelve 14″ or larger trout per acre. Guiding Outfitters in Frisco and Summit County service the following Gold Medal waters: Blue River, Colorado River, Gore Creek, Arkansas River and Frying Pan River.

Lake Dillon provides good fishing for rainbow and brown trout, kokanee salmon, and arctic char. Meadow Creek park is another stocked body of water in Frisco – a great place to teach kiddos the ropes!
Fishing Pole Rental Rates
The Frisco Bay Marina offers fishing pole rentals. Please call 970-668-4334 to make a reservation or to get more information.Rental includes a basic tackle box, rod, reel, and line. Fishing licenses and bait can be purchased at the Marina Office and Store. Prices subject to change.

All Day- $15 during the day (overnight would be 2 days)
Early most winter mornings one can find the brave and determined ice fisherman on one of the “arms” of Lake Dillon: the Snake River arm in Summit Cove, the Blue River arm at Farmer’s Corner or just off-shore of the outdoor amphitheater in Dillon.
