Colorado BBQ Challenge

Father's Day Essay Contest

Colorado BBQ Challenge Postponed to Friday, September 25 & Saturday, September 26, 2020

In light of the ongoing uncertainty, and in the interest of the health of our mountain community and event participants, the Town of Frisco has decided to postpone the 27th Annual Colorado BBQ Challenge which was scheduled for June 19-20, 2020. This was a difficult decision, as the event is a community favorite and an important fundraiser for many of our local non-profits. This later date will provide us all with some time to heal, regroup, and move with an optimistic spirit towards the future. Please continue to practice social distancing, and take good care of yourselves and your loved ones so that we can celebrate with you in the fall.

Contest Details

Each year, the Town of Frisco asks kids (16 and younger only) to submit a short essay (600 words or less) describing how much dad means to you. If your essay is chosen as the winner, you will win some serious BBQ goodies: a two night stay in a condo in Frisco over BBQ weekend (courtesy of Summit Mountain Rentals), $200 in Hogbacks and some Frisco BBQ schwag!

The submission period for the 2020 Father’s Day Essay Contest to be announced.
