The Wizard of Oz…And Other Strange Tales of the American West
Presented by Rick Hague
The “Wizard of Oz” is a timeless children’s tale made famous in the 1939 Judy Garland movie – musical. “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” has enriched generations of children. But was there more to this classic tale? It was written just after a tumultuous period in American history – the late 19th century – by a celebrated Renaissance-man, author, playwright, and father. Come learn what was “behind the rainbow” and see if you sing a different tune as a result.
