Dillon Reservoir and Ten Mile Mountain Range in the fall

Make a Difference Day is returning to Summit County after a two year hiatus. Make a Difference Day is a national event inspiring volunteers to give back to their local communities. This year four different non-profits will be hosting projects in each town in Summit County. Volunteer projects will take place from 9:00am until 12:00pm followed by a lunch for all volunteers at the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge.

In Frisco, the volunteer project is in partnership with SOS Outreach and will take advantage of the low water levels to clean up items that have fallen overboard into Dillon Reservoir. Volunteers should bring muck boots, waders or any other shoes that can withstand the muddy shorelines. Canoes and kayaks will be available on a first come first serve basis to help clean the islands and shoreline. Volunteers should meet at the Frisco Bay Marina office deck at 9:00am for coffee, burritos and supplies and can either sign up to volunteer online or just show up. After the clean up, volunteers are invited to the Frisco Adventure Park Day Lodge for a free lunch at 12:00pm.
