Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July

If you are looking for an Independence Day celebration in a quintessential small mountain town, then Frisco’s Fabulous 4th of July will fit the bill with big town amenities and great entertainment, but a small town feel. Frisco knows how to throw a party filled with activities for the whole family on Frisco’s charming Main Street and at the beautiful Frisco Bay Marina.

Start the day off right with a pancake breakfast and end the day with a fireworks display over Dillon Reservoir. In between you will find: a hometown parade with a kids’ bike decorating contest, great concerts, a block party feel on Main Street and even a free fishing derby for the kids.

7:00am – 11:00am – Team Summit Pancake Breakfast located at the old community center in Frisco at 3rd Avenue and Granite Street to benefit Team Summit- $10 for adults and $5 for kids 8 and under.

9:00am  – 11:00am – Kids Fishing Derby  sponsored by Bass Pro Shops at Frisco’s Meadow Creek Park

10:30am- There will be a flyover by a United States Air Force Lockheed C-130 Hercules.

11:00am – 12:00pm – Free concert with the Summit Concert Band (Frisco Historic Park Gazebo)

12:30pm – Fabulous Fourth of July Parade (Main Street from Madison Ave. to 6th Ave.)

New to the parade this year-

  • 10 piece adult marching band, Gora Gora Orkestar, will bring their funky, dance-able, brass band happiness to Frisco’s July 4th parade.

1:30pm – 3:30pm – Free concert with New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Maggie Koerner on Main Street in front of the Historic Park. It’s not uncommon to find Maggie performing on stage with a list of iconic acts that has included Widespread Panic, Gov’t Mule and Charles Bradley, to name a few. The Shreveport born singer-songwriter spent the majority of 2013 and 2014 as the lead singer and front-woman for legendary New Orleans’ funk-band Galactic.

3:30pm – 5:00pm – Interactive drum circle with Peak Rhythms on Main Street- some free drumming fun while Main Street is closed for the celebrations. (Main Street from 3rd Ave. to 4th Ave.)

7:15pm – 9:15pm – Free concert with Count Tutu at the Frisco Bay Marina. Count Tutu is an eleven-piece afro-beat inspired funk band based in Tulsa, OK in the business to make you dance. The band performs original music and is comprised of five horns (saxes, trombones, trumpet), drum set, two auxiliary percussion, bass, female vocalist, and male lead vocalist and guitar. The band has packed houses in Tulsa since its inception in July 2015.

9:30pm – Fireworks over Dillon Reservoir with the best viewing from the area around the Frisco Bay Marina with a simulcast of patriotic music on Krystal 93 – 93.9 or on www.krystal93.com.
