Bacon Burner 6k Postponed to Saturday, September 26, 2020
In light of the ongoing uncertainty, and in the interest of the health of our mountain community and event participants, the Town of Frisco has decided to postpone the 27th Annual Colorado BBQ Challenge which was scheduled for June 19-20, 2020. This was a difficult decision, as the event is a community favorite and an important fundraiser for many of our local non-profits. The Bacon Burner 6k race will be rescheduled to Saturday, September 26, as it is a part of the Colorado BBQ Challenge tradition. This later date will provide us all with some time to heal, regroup, and move with an optimistic spirit towards the future. Please continue to practice social distancing, and take good care of yourselves and your loved ones so that we can celebrate with you in the fall.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Linsey Joyce.
The Bacon Burner 6k is a 3.8 mile out-and-back run that will take place on a paved recreational trail. All racers will receive a piece of commemorative Bacon Burner apparel. All registrants 21 and older will also receive a free beer ticket to redeem at the Colorado BBQ Challenge. Strollers are welcome; please leave your pet at home. This race is open to all ages and abilities.
9:30am at the Frisco Marina; click here to see an interactive course map. The race will start in three waves; competitive runner, average runner and family/walk/jog. The course will take place on the Summit County Recreation Path.
