For the 28th year, League for Animals & People of the Summit (L.A.P.S.) is bringing their annual Canine 4k to the streets of Frisco for a day filled with dogs, exercise (running or walking), contests, a great silent auction, doggie pools and misting tents, doggie yoga (new this year) and live music with Randall McKinnon.
Race Day Schedule
- 8:00am-9:00am- Registration at the Frisco Historic Park
- 9:15am- Race begins on Main Street in front of the Frisco Historic Park (120 Main Street Frisco)
Registration
Pre-registration
- $25 for 1st dog
- $15 for additional dogs
Day of registration
- $30 for 1st dog
- $15 for additional dogs
Registration goodies
- Get a custom design t-shirt or a LAPS logo ball cap or a big 4K design coffee mug with each 1st Dog registration, plus a goodie bag.
- 2nd dog registrations only receive a goodie bag, not a shirt/cap/mug, but you can buy those separately.
Goodie bags have treats plus coupons for free yoga, Abbey’s coffee, dog tags and more!
Awards
Prizes will be awarded to top male & female finishers in the run & walk categories & also by age groups.
There will also be a Mountain Mutt Contest following the race with the following race categories:
- Oldest & Youngest Dog
- Biggest and Smallest Dog
- Best Dressed, Best Singer
- Best Dancer
- Pet/Owner Look Alike

What is L.A.P.S.?
Summit County, Colorado L.A.P.S. has been helping families and companion animals living in Blue River, Breckenridge, Dillon, Frisco, Heeney, Keystone, Montezuma and Silverthorne since 1990.
LAPS is the area’s primary charity working to reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs and to benefit the general welfare of companion animals and families in need of financial assistance with veterinary bills. Please email LAPS@colorado.net with donations, questions or concerns.
