Snowshoe for the Cure Goes Virtual in 2021

Snowshoe for the Cure is all about pink, happy and hope, and it’s a Frisco tradition. This year, Susan G. Komen and the Frisco Nordic Center are partnering in a new way to continue this tradition of snowshoe fun and community spirit, which has raised over 1 million dollars since its inception to fight breast cancer.

Two Ways to Snowshoe for the Cure

  1. Snowshoe for the Cure: The traditional snowshoe experience, virtual style. Complete either a 2k, 5k or 7k goal to snowshoe or participate in a fitness activity of your choosing between February 27, 2021 and March 20, 2021. Do it on your own, or gather safely for warmth and motivation with your team to #SnowShoeWhereYouAre. As a bonus, registered participants will receive one complimentary snowshoe trail pass at the Frisco Nordic Center for either the Chickadee(2k) or Snowshoe Hare(5k) trails valid between February 27, 2021 and March 20, 2021.
  2. SFTC Blizzard Challenge: A new offering for a unique year. Go big with the SFTC Blizzard Challenge between February 27, 2021 and March 20, 2021 – snowshoe 25 miles on your time, wherever you are. Special results categories will be available for those looking to log miles with other activities including running, walking, cycling, and cross country skiing. Make this challenge yours!

About Snowshoe for the Cure

Snowshoe for the Cure brings together a community of people supporting ground breaking research and support programs for mothers, sisters, neighbors, and friends as they face breast cancer.  With either experience you’ll be connected with others Snowshoeing for the Cure through an interactive app experience where you can share photos, challenge other teams in performance, track your progress, and honor Survivors.
