The world’s fastest skiers take on high-altitude terrain at the Stifel Copper Cup presented by United Airlines from November 27-30, 2025.
This Audi FIS Ski World Cup event showcases top alpine talent from around the globe at Copper Mountain for an unforgettable weekend of racing, competition, and Olympic-level energy. Taking place over Thanksgiving weekend, the event includes both men’s and women’s races and serves as a key stop on the road to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
This year’s event will also feature free live music, a vibrant vendor village, awards ceremonies, bib draws, and fireworks in the Festival Village.

All races for the Stifel Copper Cup weekend take place in East Village, a familiar hub for the race community and the official training site of the Stifel U.S. Ski Team each fall. The races are free to attend but for an elevated experience spectators may purchase VIP passes or grandstand tickets to enjoy the best views and experience during the Stifel Copper Cup weekend.

Super-G, also known as Super Giant Slalom, is an alpine skiing discipline categorized as a speed event. It combines the rapid pace of downhill skiing with the technical turns of giant slalom. Courses feature widely spaced gates set on steep terrain, requiring athletes to maintain high momentum while executing fewer turns than in giant slalom, but more than in downhill. Giant Slalom (GS) is a technical alpine ski racing discipline featuring longer courses and wider gate spacing than slalom allowing for higher speeds, but not as fast as super G or downhill. This event features more gates and turns than super G. After the first run, the top 30 competitors qualify for a second run on a different course set on the same slope with the fastest combined time determining the winner.

Transportation & Parking
Public transportation is encouraged during the Stifel Copper Cup presented by United Airlines. There will be limited parking options with increased spectators and visitors for this event.
Summit County Public Transit
Summit Stage is a free public bus service that operates throughout Summit County, including Frisco, Silverthorne, and Breckenridge. It provides direct service to Copper Mountain from Frisco and will offer 15-minute increased service along this route during the event. Anyone traveling on the Silverthorne or Breckenridge routes can connect to the Frisco to Copper line at the Frisco Transit Center.
Bustang buses and Pegasus vans travel from downtown Denver, Colorado. Bustang provides multiple roundtrips every day of the week, while Pegasus shuttle vans provide almost hourly service Friday-Sunday, from Denver’s Union Station and the Lakewood-Denver Federal Center to the Frisco Transit Center. From there, passengers can hop on the free Summit Stage bus to reach Copper.
Copper Mountain is located in Summit County, Colorado, just seven miles from Frisco along Interstate 70. The resort is approximately 100 miles west of Denver International Airport (DEN). Denver offers international flights and convenient access to Copper and the Summit County area. Other nearby airports include Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), 55 miles west of Copper, and Grand Junction Regional Airport (GJT), 165 miles west.
Parking
Copper Mountain offers ample free parking throughout the resort, making arrival and access easy. Complimentary in-resort shuttles run regularly, providing convenient transportation between parking areas, East Village for race events, and Center Village for festivities. Free parking is available in the Alpine and Far East lots seven days a week.
