2022 Frisco BBQ Challenge Competitor and Vendor Registration

Check back in December 2022 for 2023 registration information.

2022 Frisco BBQ Challenge

Join us in Frisco as we kick off Father’s Day weekend on June 17 and 18, 2022 with two days of BBQ, music, and community. This year the Frisco BBQ events team will be focusing on a back to basics approach, which places a high priority to BBQ vendors.

About the Frisco BBQ Challenge

In 2022, the Frisco BBQ Challenge will refocus on BBQ with a small variety of supporting food options such as crafted non-alcoholic drinks and dessert/appetizer options for 12,000+ visitors over two days. Carnival type food will no longer be a focus at this BBQ event. If you are wondering if your food or drink type will be a good fit for BBQ fans, please email Zane Myers or call 970-668-2564.

Important Information for Vendors

The BBQ Challenge is a non-cash event. BBQ tickets called Hogbacks are the official currency of the event. Hogback sales have been a significant fundraiser for local non-profits that help with every aspect of the event from pouring beer to delivering ice to selling event t-shirts. From each $1.00 ticket sold, the Colorado BBQ Challenge receives $0.15 and vendors receive $0.85. Hogbacks are the only type of payment vendors may accept.

  • Vendors will receive a check for 85% of the proceeds minus applicable sales taxes within two weeks of the BBQ Challenge. Vendors will need to provide a Colorado sales tax ID and Frisco will retain state sales tax and remit it on your behalf.
  • The Summit County Health Department continues to updat their fee structure and application each year, and updated information may be found on the Summit County Health Department website.
  • Vendors and BBQ competitors can apply online only to compete or vend at the Frisco BBQ Challenge. Email and/or phone application submissions are not available.

If you have any questions about vending, please email Zane Myers or call 970-668-2564.
