Be Prepared for High Alpine and Snowy Conditions
This event will take place in a high-alpine environment where icy & snow conditions may exist. The course will take place on the Summit County Recreation Path and Town of Frisco Side Streets. The course will be plowed to the best of our ability. The event takes place no matter the weather, snow or shine! Many businesses around Frisco sell traction devices for your feet from Kahtoola and Yak Trax. Similarly, these shops also sell base layers, hats, gloves, and winter socks.

Packet Pick-up
Walkers and Runners may pick up their bib packet on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Old Community Center (110 S. 3rd Ave).
Day of bib packet pick-up will be from 8:00am – 9:00am on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Old Community Center. Walkers and Runners will receive a race bib and commemorative Turkey Day 5k gift.
In order to pick up a bib and Frisco Turkey Day 5k beanie a signed waiver is required – find it here. For minors (17 and under), they may be attached to an adult’s waiver form.
Participant Info
Summit County weather varies in November so we recommend dressing in layers for this run. Don’t forget to pack a beanie, gloves, and base layers!
We recommend any type of running or hiking shoe for this fun run. As mentioned above, portions of the course will not be plowed or shoveled, and runners will pass through areas of packed snow. Our friends at PioneerSports in Frisco sell Kahtoola and Yak Trax traction devices for your tennis shoes.
There is no designated parking area for this event. Frisco has parking available on Main Street, as well as many side streets. Please carpool if possible and plan to arrive early to allow time to walk to the start to pick up your bib/packet.
Bring your own cup or water bottle to help us cut down on single use cups during the event!
Post Race Party
Post race party will take place at the finish line. There will be sweet treats from Butterhorn Bakery, mini pies from Saved by the Wine and hot coffee and cocoa for all participants. Upon completing the course, registrants should check to see if they won an item from the Chance Auction.
Volunteer
We need volunteers to help on the course. Please follow this link to sign up for volunteering.
Make a Donation
We encourage all racers to make a non-perishable food donation at the event. Donations will benefit the Family & Intercultural Resource Center of Summit County. For every five items donated, you will receive an additional raffle ticket to put into our Chance Auction.
