Young Creators Invited to Compete in Frisco’s Free Kids’ Sandcastle Competition at the Frisco Bay Marina

On Sunday, August 10, 2025, the Kids’ Sandcastle Competition returns to the Frisco Bay Marina for creative kiddos ages 12 and under. The fun kicks off at 10:00 am on Frisco Bay Marina’s sandy beach, with awards at noon.

Sandcastle competitors will have from 10:00 am to 11:30 am to build their masterpieces. Children are encouraged to bring their own sandcastle building supplies and anything they would like to use to decorate their sand art. Judging will begin at 11:30 am, followed by an awards celebration at 12:00 pm.

There are four age divisions in the competition: 1-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Children may participate solo or form teams of up to four participants. Each child will receive a free popsicle, and prizes will be awarded to 1^st place overall and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in each age category. All sandcastle décor must stay with the castles for public viewing through the afternoon and should be picked up at 3:00 pm.

Participation is free, but kids must be registered online at TownofFriscoEvents.com. Day of registration will not be available, so plan ahead. Families are encouraged to arrive early to find parking and be ready to create their masterpieces by 10:00 am. Paid parking is available at the Frisco Bay Marina from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm for $1.25 per half hour for the first three hours, $2.50 a half hour thereafter; the first 30 minutes of parking are free. Participants are encouraged to walk, bike, or take the bus to Main Street Frisco, which is an easy walk to the Marina.
