Meadow Creek Pond Open for Ice Skating

The Meadow Creek Pond in the park behind Walmart in Frisco, is now open for free public ice skating from 8:00am until 10:00pm. The Frisco Public Works Department will regularly be clearing the ice of snow and maintaining this ice surface. Natural ice conditions should be expected on the pond, even with ongoing maintenance.

The pond area lighting is on from 4:00pm to 10:00pm. ‘No fishing’ signs are posted around the pond, as auger holes and the related water flooding the ice rink create an unsafe and un-fun ice-skating surface. Ice fishermen/women should ice fish elsewhere. Public Works measured ice depths of up to 15 inches within the ice rink area, but skaters are always advised that they are skating at their own risk. While the Gazebo at Meadow Creek Park may be reserved, the ice rink may not be reserved and remains open for public use as long as conditions will allow into the season. Guests must bring their own ice skates.
