Mardi Gras 4Paws Dog Parade & Yappy Hour Returns on March 1

The Town of Frisco and Hope for Animals – Clear Creek Rescue will be hosting a costumed canine parade and street party on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Mardi Gras 4Paws, inspired by the Mystic Krewe of Barkus Parade in New Orleans, invites canines and their families to flaunt their best costumes down Main Street sidewalks from 2nd Avenue to 7th Avenue and back to the party on 2nd Avenue, with proceeds to benefit Hope for Animals – Clear Creek Rescue, which helps abandoned, lost, and suffering animals through rescue, shelter, and public education.

In conjunction with the parade, the “Yappy Hour” street party will take place next to the Historic Park on 2nd Avenue on the south side of Main Street between Main Street and the alley, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. This new “Yappy Hour” location is to accommodate the remodel of Old Town Hall/Visitor Information Center and the park on 3rd Avenue. The party will include drinks, music, and a chance to win prizes, followed by a costume contest for the best dressed canines. All animal lovers are welcome to attend this event with or without a canine friend.

Registration is available online with fees of $20 for the first dog, plus $5 for each additional dog per family. Online registration will close on Friday, February 28, 2025. Day-of registration will be available at the event beginning at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, 2025. Ticket prices will be the same for day-of registration.
