Frisco’s Wassail Days Tradition Returns November 29-December 7

Frisco’s Wassail Days celebrations will take place from November 29 – December 7, 2025, to pay a weeklong homage to all things winter. The celebration will feature fireworks at the holiday tree lighting, Santa visits, Breakfast with Santa, storytime with reindeer at the Historic Park, and wassail sampling from 50+ local businesses.

Wassail Days welcomes locals and visitors to embrace the winter holidays and discover or reacquaint themselves with Frisco businesses, as they stroll through charming Frisco and sample wassail from participating businesses. Wassail is an Old English toast to health, and more importantly, is a hot cider made with spices and fruits, traditionally served during the winter holidays. Since Frisco started this festival in 2008, Frisco businesses have perfected their recipes and are excited to offer samples and compete for the best wassail in Frisco. In 2024, 53 businesses collectively served over 28,392 sips of wassail.

This year, over 50 local businesses will serve their own wassail or an alternative holiday treat, from November 29 – December 7, and participants will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite wassail recipe and fill their “12 Sips of Wassail” card. Completed “12 Sips of Wassail” cards may be redeemed at the Frisco/Copper Visitor Information Center at 300 Main Street from 9:00 am-5:00 pm, for a free 2025 commemorative Wassail Days mug, while supplies last. Each year the commemorative mug features an iconic Frisco scene. This year’s mug features an original design from Summit County-based artist Erin McCrea, owner of Mountain Mt. Media. Her work spans many platforms, including children’s books, oil painting, and mural installations.

“Wassail Days is one of Frisco’s most cherished traditions. It’s about connecting with our community, celebrating the season, and sharing a little warmth with everyone who visits,” said Matt Lope, Town of Frisco Recreation & Events Supervisor. “From sampling unique wassail recipes to enjoying fireworks, Santa visits, and festive moments around town, there truly is something for everyone to enjoy.”
