Frisco Nordic Center Hosts Free 5km Race Series

The Frisco Nordic Center and Team Summit are excited to announce a new, free 5km cross-country ski race series open to all ages and abilities. The series will alternate between classic and skate skiing. Racers may sign up at the Frisco Nordic Center lodge starting at 5:00pm on the day of each event, and races will commence at 5:30pm. All racers are encouraged to bring a headlamp.

2025 Race Series Schedule

  • January 8: Classic Skiing
  • January 22: Skate Skiing
  • February 5: Classic Skiing
  • February 19: Skate Skiing

About The Frisco Nordic Center

Located in the Peninsula Recreation Area (PRA) just south of Frisco’s Main Street on Highway 9, the Frisco Nordic Center offers 28 kilometers of ski trails for skate-skiing and cross-country skiing and eight kilometers of snowshoe trails surrounded by stunning views of the Tenmile Range. Day passes, gear rentals, lessons, and clinics are available throughout the winter season. The Frisco Nordic Center is open seven days a week, including Christmas and New Year’s Day,   and  is expected to remain open through Sunday, April 6, 2025, weather permitting.
