Frisco Hosts Free Repair Fair with New Offerings on Saturday, September 13

The Town of Frisco is pleased to host its sixth Repair Fair on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Slopeside Hall, located at 605 Recreation Way. This free community event will feature expanded offerings, including an electric vehicle (EV) Ride and Drive and a New-to-You Closet, in addition to a wide variety of repair and maintenance services. Complimentary coffee and snacks will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring a reusable mug to help reduce waste.

“We are extremely excited to host our sixth repair fair with new and improved offerings. This spring was our biggest turn out, with many outdoor items repaired and put back into use again,” stated Blair Miller, Frisco’s Historic Park and Museum Manager and Green Team member.

Repair Fair More Information

The Town of Frisco’s Repair Fair was launched in 2022 by the Town’s employee-led sustainability committee, the Green Team. The event was inspired by existing programs developed by several outdoor gear manufacturers that facilitate the repair, reuse, resale, and recycling of used gear.

According to the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 146.1 million tons of solid waste ended up in landfills across the country in 2018, with materials most commonly used in outdoor equipment, such as plastics, leather, and textiles, comprising over 29% of that waste.
