Frisco History Day celebrates the Town’s past, present, and future on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 9:00am to 5:30pm at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum. This year’s free event honors a historic double celebration, marking 150 years of Colorado statehood and the United States’ 250th anniversary.

Festivities will focus on the industries of the silver rush era, offering a full day of family-friendly activities. Highlights include live music with Leon Joseph Littlebird and Zac Clark, free burro rides, gold panning, old-time photography, morning yoga, face painting, scavenger hunt bingo, touchable artifacts, historic demonstrations in heritage crafts, and a Colorado wildlife showcase with Nature’s Educators. Frisco History Day is proudly sponsored by Copper Mountain and Alpine Bank.

Frisco History Day Event Schedule and Activities

A comprehensive lineup of events and interactive activities will showcase the Town’s heritage during Frisco History Day. Attendees will also have the opportunity to talk with community organizations like the Summit County Animal Shelter, Dinosaur Ridge, and the U.S. Forest Service throughout the day.

Education Pop-Ups:

9:00am – 10:00am – Free Yoga in the Park with Thrive Yoga! Leon Joseph Littlebird will provide live flute accompaniment for this session; participants are asked to bring their own yoga mats.

Ice cream and sodas will be available to purchase with profits benefiting Eagle Summit Wilderness Alliance. Opa Food Truck will be on site from 11:00am – 5:30pm. There are also many restaurants, coffee shops, and ice cream shops located on Main Street, just a quick walk from the Frisco Historic Park and Museum.

Frisco Historic Park and Museum Information

The Frisco Historic Park and Museum provides the opportunity to experience history in an up-close and personal way right on Frisco’s Main Street. The Museum’s collection of original historic buildings, including the Schoolhouse Museum, contains artifacts, exhibits, and photographs that tell the lively stories of Frisco’s past and reflect the Summit County philosophy of embracing history while also connecting it to our lives today.

The Historic Park is open from 10:00am – 5:00pm Tuesday – Sunday and is closed on Mondays.
