Frisco Historic Park & Museum and Theatre SilCo to Host Mystery at the Museum

The Frisco Historic Park & Museum, in partnership with Theatre SilCo, will host a free Mystery at the Museum event, which is a clue-styled mystery party, on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the Frisco Schoolhouse Museum. Guests will have the opportunity to solve the mystery behind who caused an explosion at the Excelsior Mine and Mill and why through a series of interactions, clues, and puzzles. Participants who complete the game may submit their answer for an entry in a drawing to win prizes from local businesses.

“We’re excited to kick off spooky season with the return of this fun and free event at the Frisco Historic Park and Museum. Participants will learn about some darker aspects of Summit County’s history, while doing something unique with their friends and family,” stated Rose Gorrell, Frisco Historic Park and Museum manager.

The recommended age to participate is eight years and older due to content, implied violence, and difficulty. Registration is not required for this event, and participants are invited to come anytime from 2:00 pm on, but the last group must start the game by 4:30 pm.  Participants are also reminded to dress weather appropriate, as part of this party happens in the other historic buildings spread through the park.
