On Friday, May 29, 2026, the Frisco Bay Marina will open for the 2026 summer season with paddle sport and powerboat rentals. This season, the Marina will offer captained pontoon boat tours, powerboat rentals, and paddle sports rentals, including stand up paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and pedal boats. The locals’ appreciation rental discount program will return for the season on June 1 to get the whole community out on the water with great rental discounts.
The Island Grill will open daily starting Friday, May 22, from 11:00am to 7:00pm, weather-permitting. In addition, the Island Grill will offer free live music with mountain and reservoir views every Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
“While low water levels have changed our operations this season, the Frisco Bay Marina staff have been proactively planning for this since January and are subsequently ready to help people enjoy Dillon Reservoir all summer long,” said Linsey Joyce, Town of Frisco Recreation Director.
“Since early this year, we were very open and transparent about how Marina operations would need to change, and unfortunately, there has been some misinformation suggesting that the Marina is closed, but that is simply not the case. Although our slips and boat ramp are not operational this year, we’ve adapted by partnering with our neighbors at Dillon Marina to launch boats so we can continue to offer moorings, rentals, and on-the-water experiences. The community will still be able to enjoy captained pontoon tours, powerboat rentals, paddle sport rentals, live music and dining at the Island Grill, new sand volleyball courts and leagues, and most everything that makes summer at the Dillon Reservoir special.”
New Sand Volleyball Courts and League
The Town of Frisco is adding more summer fun to the Dillon Reservoir waterfront with the addition of two new recreational sand volleyball courts at the Frisco Bay Marina beach and the launch of 4v4 co-ed and women’s recreational sand volleyball league. The new courts will open and be available to rent in early June, along with the launch of the new league.
