Frisco Announces Fourth of July Fishing Derby & Parade Winners

Frisco’s Fabulous Fourth of July celebration has so far included a fishing derby and a parade down Frisco Main Street. The fun continues at 4:30 pm on July 4 with a concert with Orgōne on the stage at Main Street and 1st Avenue on July 5 with free activities, like burro rides and gold panning, during Frisco History Day.

The free Frisco July 4th Fishing Derby attracted over 75 youth anglers to the Meadow Creek Pond for one hour of fishing hosted by the Town of Frisco. Colorado Parks and Wildlife stocked the pond for the Derby, and prizes were provided by the Frisco Bay Marina and Town of Frisco.

2025 Frisco Fishing Derby winners:

1st Place-

2nd Place-

  • Theodore Stong of Wichita, KS         

3rd Place-

  • Gretchen Riggs of Frisco, CO

4th Place-

  • Taylor Gilbert of Parker, CO

5th Place-

  • June Ostrom of Fort Collins, CO

“Frisco’s 4th of July is about celebrating our community, and the schedule of events reflects that. We owe huge thanks to Colorado Parks and Wildlife for stocking Meadow Creek Pond for the fishing derby, to the community for participating in the parade, and to the spirited crowds for showing up and making the day such a remarkable celebration,” stated Grant McKay, Recreation Programs Manager for the Town of Frisco. 

The Frisco July 4th parade saw 80+ parade entries and 100+ kids participating in the bike parade. The parade, kicked off by the Frisco Police Department, Summit County Animal Control, Summit Rescue Group, and Summit Fire & EMS, made its way along Frisco Main Street from Madison Avenue to 6th Avenue with generous candy hauls. 

2025 Frisco Parade Winners:

1st Place-

  • Bill Robinson & the Frisco Cabin Team, with their steampunk/whimsical inspired float- Red, White & Gears for Freedom

2nd Place-

  • Vine Street Social, with their Tour de France inspired float- Tour de Vine Street

3rd Place-

  • High Rhodes Records, with their disco inspired float- Frisco Inferno

Parade winners may pick up their prizes at Frisco Town Hall starting on Monday, July 14.
