54th Annual Frisco Gold Rush Nordic Races are on Saturday, February 8, 2025

The Frisco Nordic Center and the Town of Frisco will be hosting the Frisco Gold Rush Nordic races on February 8, 2025 starting at 10:00 am. On its 54th year, the Gold Rush has the distinction of being the longest running Nordic event in Colorado and celebrates Frisco’s historical mining heritage while embracing the ski culture that defines the Frisco community today. The event consists of classic and skate races open to skiers of all ages and abilities, including a 23k skate ski race, 10k skate ski or classic races, 5k skate ski race, and 1k kids’ fun ski on Frisco’s Nordic trails.

“With several distances and two disciplines to choose from, this event can be as laid back or as competitive as you want it to be. Whether this is your first Nordic ski race or you’re racing for a podium, this is such a fun way to be part of a long-standing Frisco tradition,” stated Pete Swenson, Frisco Nordic Center and Trails Manager.

Maverick Sports will provide timing for all races, except for the 1K kids’ fun ski, which will not be timed. All 5k, 10k, and 23k racers will receive a Swix beanie, as their racer gift.
