Bus Information

Public transportation in Summit County is provided for free by the Summit Stage. Bus service is available to most ski areas, shopping centers, medical centers, and some residential areas in Summit County.
Summit Stage Mission:
The purpose of the Summit Stage is to provide free scheduled public transportation and ADA paratransit service for residents and visitors to Summit County.
Discover the Summit by Stage!
A century after Summit County's storied gold and silver rush played out, another boom began. This time the treasure was White Gold, Summit's gossamer powder snow. To honor our ski history, the Summit Stage has made several vehicles a traveling showcase for the heroes of the White Gold rush.
Enjoy their stories as you travel the Stage's runs to Boreas Pass, Breckenridge, Copper Mountain, Dillon, Dillon Valley, Frisco, Keystone, Silverthorne, Summit Cove, Warrior's Mark, and Wildernest -- all landmarks along the byway of Summit County's past. Discover the Summit by Stage as we put history on wheels. We have created a Museum on the Move, highlighting history, the environment, and people. Over twenty buses now feature the names of local ski and history greats.
Service Commitment
Summit Stage provides scheduled, fixed-route buses and advance reservation paratransit service. The Stage's goal is to deliver safe, courteous, and reliable transportation.
We try our best to maintain scheduled times. Occasionally, we may run late due to weather or traffic conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will notify radio stations about extended service delays.
Accessible Service
All Stage buses are wheelchair accessible. Guests requiring additional assistance may call Mountain Mobility at (970) 418-0964. To use Mountain Mobility you must have a qualifying disability that prevents you from riding fixed-route buses.
Bicycle and Ski Equipment
Between April 15 and October 27, buses will be equipped with bike racks. By November 1, buses will be equipped with ski racks. Bike racks and ski racks are provided for your convenience on a first-come, first-served basis. Use them at your own risk. If space is available, skis and snowboards may be brought on board. Bikes are not allowed inside buses. Bikes may only be loaded during daylight hours. Tandems and bikes with child carriers are not allowed. We are not responsible for any damage or loss of property. Loading/unloading is your responsibility.
