The Lost Cajun Restaurant is named the winner of the Town of Frisco’s 2011 Wassail Days Competition.
The Town of Frisco’s eight day wassail event invited visitors to vote for their favorite merchant created wassail (spiced cider) while shopping and dining on Main Street. The Town of Frisco tallied up the ballots for the 2011 Wassail Recipe Competition and the vote is in. This year’s winner, The Lost Cajun Restaurant managed to secure 322 votes to unseated the three-peat champion Rivers, Inc. Over 2,000 votes were cast and second place went to Rivers, Inc. with third place going to Frisco Fun and Formal.
The Lost Cajun located at 204 Main Street offers genuine Louisiana fair including gumbo and beignets, “It is truly impressive to see a restaurant with only 15 seats capture so much interest. Raymond Griffin and his team have a southern flavor and charm that was sure to win over the masses” stated Suzanne Lifgren, Marketing Director for the Town of Frisco. The 2011 Wassail Days competition had 60 merchants competing for an advertising prize package, the Wassail championship cup and bragging rights. The fourth year of Wassail Days invited visitors to experience unique shopping and fun holiday events. Festivities included the first Frisco Santa Dash for Cash, Chili Cook-Off, Breakfast with Santa, Wassail Night at the Museum and free Adventure Park activities.
