The Best in the West Chili Contest has a trio of repeat winners!
The Town of Frisco’s Chili Cook-Off drew over a hundred chili lovers to vote for the best red, green and vegetarian recipes at the Frisco Adventure Park on Saturday, December 8. The snowy weather proved that even Ullr can be appeased with the smell of onions, chili powder, cumin and juicy ground chuck! A trio of winners defended their titles against the new competitors vying for $600 in prize money. Arapahoe Café’s green chili secured their professional status as amateurs Gilbert Vasquez and Emily Tracy repeat their success as not so amateur talent claiming the title in Best in the West. The Summit County Chamber partnered with the Town to help kick off the 5th Annual Wassail Days celebration in Frisco.
