Frisco Fireworks a go
Frisco’s fireworks to light up the night.
Fireworks are a go in Frisco. The recent moisture has lowered the fire danger giving the Town of Frisco and the Lake Dillon Fire department confidence that the 2013 fireworks display will light up the sky this 4th of July. “The Frisco’s location is one of the safest in the state,” stated Jeff Berino, Deputy Chief with Lake Dillon, “with the lake launch point and open space. We feel confident we are a go for the fourth.” Frisco had to cancel their fireworks in alignment with a statewide ban in 2012;the cancellation was only their second in over 12 years.
The town of Frisco would also like to remind all citizens that while there are no additional bans on personal fireworks, the Town laws will be enforced. Frisco’s fireworks policy 127-11 allows the use of sparklers and ground displays, no aerial fireworks. If you have questions, please contact the Frisco police department at 970.668-3579.
The best viewing spot for the Frisco fireworks is the Frisco Bay Marina. The Marina will host a finale concert by Cody Canada and the Departed at 7:15 pm. The fireworks will begin at 9:30pm. The Marina will have escorted parking all day on the fourth with limited availability. Handicap parking will be available, although access to leave will be restricted for pedestrian safety. The Marina will have an alcohol check starting at 5:00 pm. Adult beverages will be available for sale at the Marina
Frisco has a full day of patriotic celebration. A full schedule is available online at www.Frisco4th.com. We recommend that you pack up your friends and family, park once and spend the day as everything is within walking distance.
