Be a Part of History in the Frisco Community Photo on Town Clean Up Day
Calling all Friscoites, become a part of our community’s history and pose for the 2013 Community Photo. The community portrait will take place next to the Schoolhouse Museum in the Frisco Historic Park at 9 am, Saturday May 18th. The Town of Frisco will be replicating the 1983 community photo in celebration of the Museums 30th anniversary.
After the community photo is taken, come celebrate the warm spring and remove the remanants of winter from our Frisco streets. Volunteers can pick up a bag, gloves and a raffle ticket. Volunteers are then invited back to the Historic park for an appreciation picnic and lunch hosted by the Frisco Town Council. The Clean Up picnic will start at 12 p.m. (noon) with lunch and a contest for “Grossest” or “Most Valuable” items picked up during Clean Up. The picnic fun continues with a raffle of donated items from our local merchants. Finally, connect with your community and start dancing as the Modnicks take the stage for an afternoon that’s built for you.
The unveiling of the 2013 community photo will be at the Frisco Historic Park’s 30th Anniversary party, Pistol and Pearls, on May 31, 2013. The Pistols and Pearls event will showcase the flavors of Frisco paired with the wine, whiskey and song that shaped our character. Tickets for Pistols and Pearls are on sale now.
