The Town of Frisco has partnered with Copper Mountain to offer “Peak One Relaxed Start” ski and ride lessons, at the Frisco Adventure Park. The Relaxed Start sessions offer a simple convenient way to try skiing and riding. The two hour sessions allow you to learn basic skills on the gentle slope of the Frisco Adventure Park with the expertise of the Copper Mountain professional ski and ride instructors.

The Peak One Relaxed Start lessons will be available starting Monday, February 6th and will continue through March 2012. Ski and ride lessons are only $79 and include an all-day lift pass. Advance reservations are required and available, by calling the Frisco Adventure Park at 970-668-2558. Skiers & riders will be responsible for providing their own equipment, as rentals are not currently available at the Adventure Park.

The Peak One Relaxed Start lessons will initially be offered on Mondays and Fridays and will expand throughout February and March. The lessons provide visitors to the area close-in parking, an affordable trial alternative, in an intimate class setting. The Relaxed Start session will be available from 11:00 – 1:00 pm, 1:00 – 3:00pm and 4:00 – 6:00 pm, subject to weather and instructor availability. Check with the Frisco Adventure Park for more details.

The Frisco Adventure Park offers a different way to experience the mountains and is excited to present another family- friendly and convenient way to play. JP Chevalier, Director of Skier & Golf Services at Copper, says “Copper has always been Frisco’s mountain and Frisco continues to be our town. This relationship naturally led us to forming a service partnership, at the Frisco Adventure Park. The Copper Ski & Ride School is thrilled to be launching a first time family and friend introduction to Snowsports, in the heart of Summit County. Families will now be able to enjoy Colorado tubing, nordic skiing, horse drawn sleigh rides and a learn to ski or ride program in one place, on the same day. Our aim will be to provide exceptional entertainment value and ultimately develop a passion for Snowsports that will last a life time.”
