Fire Department
The Town of Frisco is served by The Lake Dillon Fire Protection District, a mostly career department, supplemented by several dedicated volunteers. The fire station in Frisco at 301 S. 8th Ave. is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Community Services Bureau, located at the Frisco station, handles all fire department related permits and sign-off’s. The County Wildfire Mitigation Office is also located at the station and serves as a valuable resource for issuing slash/burn permits free of charge and wildfire information.
The Lake Dillon Fire Protection District encompasses the north part of Summit County, including but not limited to: Keystone, Montezuma, Summit Cove, Dillon, Dillon Valley, Wildernest, Frisco, Silverthorne and areas north. Volunteers are always welcomed to work for The Tactical Assist Group (TAG), a unique and dedicated group of non-firefighters who assist with ancillary functions at significant incidents such as accountability, rehabilitation, and liaison functions. For any fire or fire code related questions please call the administration station located in Silverthorne at 970-513-4100. The district offers free public education classes such as fire extinguisher training, evacuation training, car safety seat inspections and home fire and wildfire inspections, directed by a full-time Community Affairs Officer.
The department's mission statement is “SERVING WITH INTEGRITY, LOYALITY AND RESPECT” and they continue to provide the Town of Frisco favorable insurance rates and prompt, professional responses. Please visit the fire district website atwww.ldfr.org for more information or call 970-513-4100.
