Frisco Fun Club- Summer Day Camp Programs

2015 Summer Day Camp for Youth Ages 5-12

The Frisco Fun Club is an exciting and adventurous way for your kids to spend the summer. Enjoy week long, themed activities that offer educational opportunities and activities Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:30pm, from June 3rd through August 21st.  Fun Club is a state licensed day camp program offering experienced camp counselors, low child to counselor ratios, and access to the great recreation amenities provided by the Town of Frisco!

Rates per day

Frisco Residents: $40/Non-residents: $45

We are offering an ‘additional child discount’. Here’s how it works:

  • You pay full price for your first child ($40 resident/$45 non-resident) and each additional child after that will receive 20% off ($32 resident/$36 non-resident).
  • To receive the discount, your children must be registered for the SAME day of camp.
  • This discount applies to siblings; no other family members will be eligible to receive this discount.
  • This discount is NOT available online so you must register in-person or over the phone through the Frisco Day Lodge; 970-668-2558 or 621 Recreation Way, Frisco.
Times

Camper drop off is between 8:00 – 8:30am, pick up is between 4:30 – 5:30pm.

Registration

Registration is currently open! Register online or call 970-668-2558 to register over the phone.

If you are enrolled in the CCAP program please be sure to bring your authorization letter with you. Payment for unauthorized days will be required upfront.

Special Needs

Parents of campers with any special need must contact the Recreation Programs Manager at 970-668-9133 or LinseyK@townoffrisco.com at least ten days in advance of their child’s attendance of a Town of Frisco Recreation Program.  The Recreation Programs Manager and Recreation Programs Lead will ask to set up a time to meet and discuss what reasonable accommodations can be made for the camper.

2015 Summer Youth Sports

The Town of Frisco Recreation and Culture Department is excited to offer a variety of programs for youth over the summer months!  Registration is currently open for all of our summer camps; view a calendar of events or register online.

Frisco Adventure Camp

This program is will have some NEW activities in 2015.  In the past this camp has focused on mountain biking and skateboarding; this summer the camp will offer a variety of activities that are located in and around the Frisco Peninsula!  The camp is open to youth ages 6-12.  Our instructors will guide the participants through a variety of activities that include but are not limited to: mountain biking, kayaking, skateboarding, hiking, disc golf and more!  All participants must bring the following to the program: bike, skateboard, helmet, pads (optional), water, sunscreen, tennis shoes and a sack lunch.

Session 3-August 3- 7, 2015 session is full

Class meets Monday-Friday from 9:00am – 5:00pm daily.  Please note that you may put your child on a wait list if the session you are looking at is full. Simply walk through the registration process and it will prompt a wait list option.

Girls on the Run Camp

Girls on the Run is a program that uses the power of running to help prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living.  Through interactive activities, such as running, playing games, and discussing important issues, participants learn how to celebrate being girls. The program focuses on building self-esteem and improving emotional and physical health.  This camp is open to girls entering grades 3-8.  Girls must bring their lunch to camp every day and dress appropriately for running outside.  Please come prepared with layers of clothing as the weather may vary.

Frisco Mountain Bike Camp

Frisco Mountain Bike Camp is open to youth ages 6-14, our instructors will focus on all of the Frisco Bike Park features! Participants will learn body positioning, balance and how to maneuver obstacles. Participants should feel comfortable riding a bike and be familiar with braking, cornering, and pumping their bike. The class will also utilize Frisco Peninsula trails with instructors focusing on body positioning, balance, gear shifting, and maneuvering over obstacles on the trails. New this summer, camp will be divided into two age groups; 6-8 years old and 9-14 years old. Participants must bring: bike, helmet, pads (optional), water (Camelback preferred,) sunscreen, tennis shoes, and a sack lunch.

Frisco Camp H2O

Camp H2O is a new water sports camp open to youth ages 9-15 for adventurous kids that want to explore Lake Dillon and learn kayaking, stand up paddleboarding, sailing, canoeing, and fishing skills. We will finish up our adventures with a whitewater rafting trip with Kodi Rafting. The Frisco Bay Marina will provide the necessary gear and expertise. Participants must bring: bathing suits, towels, sack lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, warm dry clothes, and water shoes. Here is the tentative schedule for the week.

Pre-Engineering Using Lego®

This is a new camp for the Summer 2015 lineup! Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGOS®!  Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes and motorized cars, and use special pieces to create your own unique design!  Explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor.  This is an ideal way to prepare young builders for the challenge of Engineering FUNdamentals. This camp is available for children ages 5 & 6.

Engineering FUNdamentals using LEGO®

Power up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO®!  Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as arch bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars, and the Battletrack! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level. This is for children ages 7-12.
