Frisco’s location affords its visitors and residents with a mountain cornucopia full of activities, both seasonal and all-year-long. The proximity to Lake Dillon and the White River National forest offers an almost endless list of Spring and Summer outdoor activities, from camping, to hiking, mountain biking, boating and fishing – just to name a few. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains are constantly both underfoot and at your fingertips, and the fresh mountain air is revitalizing, healthy. Friscos’ magnificent surroundings and offerings make this town truly the hub of Summit County.

For Winter sports and activities, Frisco couldn’t be placed more fortunately. No less than three of Colorado’s best ski resorts surround Frisco, and many more are just a hop and skip further. Copper Mountain, Keystone and Breckenridge offer unparalleled skiing and boarding literally in the town’s backyard – all three resorts are within 13 miles of Frisco’s town center. And with the volume and variety of lodging available in town, it makes perfect sense to use Frisco as a base for an extended ski visit, or even to set up a more permanent camp.

There’s a reason they call Frisco the Main Street to the Rockies, and it starts with an impressive listing of annual festivals and events. From Wassail Days in the Winter, to the Colorado BBQ Challenge and the spectacular 4th of July festival, parade and fireworks show in the Summer – and so many festivals in between – it seems the town never sleeps! And of course there’s the local shopping and dining, from boutiques that feature wares you’ll only find in a mountain town, to small bistros and large restaurants – all unique and ready to cater to your tastes with exquisite mountain cuisine. After a day full of activities, relaxation calls, and Frisco answers with choices aplenty, and always delivers.
