The Town of Frisco partners with local non-profit organizations each year through fabulous Frisco events.

Colorado BBQ Challenge
June 16-18, 2016

The application for the 2016 BBQ Challenge non-profit event partnership is now available. The BBQ non-profit partnership is a great opportunity to fund raise and market your organization. The non-profit partners selected will have the ability to generate funds based upon the agreed partnership responsibilities. The Town of Frisco will award a total of $35,000 to local non-profit partners in 2016. The selected non-profit partners may be awarded up to $10,000 each based on event responsibilities.

Who Should Apply

Non-profit partners should be a 501(c) (3), (6), or (7) in good standing with the IRS.

When to Apply

BBQ Challenge non-profit applications are due no later than 5:00pm on Friday, February 5, 2016.

BBQ Non-Profit Partnership Application Timeline
  • Applications are due no later than 5:00pm on Friday, February 5, 2016. There are no exceptions to this deadline. If you are mailing your application, it must be received by the deadline on Friday, February 5, 2016 – a February 5, 2016 postmark and receipt of the application at a later date will not be accepted.
  • Applications will be reviewed through February 12, 2016.
  • Notification of participation will be on February 19, 2016.
BBQ Non-Profit Partnership Selection Criteria
  1. The non-profit’s mission and how it aligns with the Frisco BBQ Challenge.
  2. The non-profit’s benefit to the citizens of Frisco.
  3. The non-profit’s ability to recruit volunteers.
  4. The non-profit’s ability to increase the attendance of the event.
  5. The non-profit’s current funding through the Town of Frisco.
  6. Any past experience with the non-profit while they were part of the Frisco event partnership program

Concerts in the Park, July 4th and Founder’s Day

The application for 2016 non-profit event partnerships during Concerts in the Park, July 4th and Founder’s Day is now available. Each year the Town of Frisco makes fundraising opportunities available to local non-profits. The Town of Frisco believes in partnering with and rewarding our local non- profits for providing volunteers for different aspects of Town events. These opportunities include:

These events are designed to meet the Town of Frisco community goals and sustainable efforts, as well as draw tourism and highlight the amenities of Frisco.

Summer Long Event Non-Profit Partnership Selection Criteria
  1. The non-profit’s mission and how it aligns with the Frisco events
  2. The non-profit’s benefit to the citizens of Frisco.
  3. The non-profit’s ability to recruit volunteers.
  4. The non-profit’s ability to increase the attendance at an event
  5. The non-profit’s current grant funding from through the Town of Frisco
  6. Any past experience with the non-profit while they were part of the Frisco event partnership program

Please note that past selection does not guarantee future selection. All selections are made by a committee; decisions of the committee are final.
