ES2 Noxious Weeds
Noxious weeds are non-native plant species that have been introduced into an environment with few, if any, natural biological controls, thus giving them a distinct competitive advantage in dominating and crowding out native species. In doing so, noxious weeds threaten valuable wildlife habitat and natural ecosystems.
Chapter 61, Brush, Grass and Weeds, of the Frisco Town Code requires the control of weeds and removal of noxious weeds from properties within town. Frisco has an on-going plan to eradicate noxious weeds from all town properties and rights-of-way, and annually applies controls to weeds in town parks and along town pathways.
Some of the predominant noxious weeds found around Frisco include the following:

Canada Thistle

Yellow Toad Flax

False Chamomile
Frisco encourages all residents, visitors and businesses to learn more about the types of noxious weeds and appropriate control measures from the Summit County website. You may also contact Lisa Taylor, Weed Coordinator, for Summit County via email or by phone at (970) 668-4218.
