Phil Hofer CMM – Marina Manager
Phil Hofer moved to Colorado from New Jersey in 1988 to attend Colorado State Universtity, he graduated in 1992 with a BS in Industrial Technology. He then moved to Summit County and worked as a lift operator for Keystone and A Basin until 1993. Phil moved to the Front Range to get his EMT Basic and returned to Summit in 1994 as a Keystone Ski Patroller. He started at the Dillon Marina in 1995 during that first year he completed the USCG Auxiliary Boating and Seamanship course and worked as a dock hand. Phil decided to continue his training in the marine field and became a certified service technician in 1998 and a master technicain in 2004 with Bombardier Recreational Products. Phil was hired as the Dillon Marina Assistant Manager in 2001 until 2005. In 2005 he was offered the position of Marina Manager with the Frisco Bay Marina. He then trained for Watercraft Inspector Level One and Two and Decontamination Level Two in 2008. Phil is currently a Member of the Colorado Marine Dealers Association, and was voted a Board Member of the Colorado Marine Dealers Association in 2010. Just this year he recieved the prestigious honor of Achieving the Certified Marina Manager certification. Phil still pursues his passion for Ski Patrolling at Keystone Resort one day a week throughout the winter season along with his full time marina position.
Jenn Shimp – Office Manager
Jenn Shimp is a Colorado native from Durango, Colorado. She graduated from Fort Lewis College with a Business Management degree. She moved to Summit County in 2002. Jenn was/is a passionate river guide and had worked as a whitewater rafting guide for many years and continued her passion in Summit County. She became the proud owner of a Southcoast 26A in 2005 and became heavily involved at the Frisco Bay Marina. Jenn started working at the marina that year as an office assistant and was promoted to Marina Office Manager in Nov of 2008. She loves the water and enjoys sailing, boating, rafting, and fishing any time she can.
Tom Hogeman – Service Manager
Tom Hogeman has been a part of the Frisco Bay Marina for the past 15 years. Tom is a Certified Technician with Johnson/Evinrude outboard motors and does most of the repairs on the engines at the Marina. He is an excellent problem solver when it comes to engine troubles. He starts working at the Marina early in the spring to get all the fleet ready for the upcoming season. During the Marina off-season, he is a supervisor for Copper Mountain Ski School. He also enjoys spending time with his two kids.
Jon Drabik – Operations Manager
Jon Drabik is the Operational Manager for the yard and docks. He has also been a part of the Frisco Bay Marina for the past 15 years. Jon has an exceptional memory for boats and their respective places and owners. He starts getting the Marina back together early in the spring and stays late into the fall. During the off-season, he works as a private ski instructor for Copper Mountain and is one of the most requested instructors at Copper Mountain. He also enjoys spending time with his three kids and introducing them to water activities.

Jenna Kane – Office Supervisor
Jenna has been work ing for the Marina for the past two years. She was promoted to Supervisor for the office this summer. She is originally from Iowa and is an avid Hawkeye fan. She graduated from University of Iowa with a Business Minor and a Bachelor of Science in Geography and Enviromental studies.She enjoys skiing, rock climbing, and sailing. In the winter she works at the new Frisco Adventure Park and helped facilitate implementing guest service procedures for this new enterprise of the town. We are very happy to have her here with us.
