July 18, 2009 --to July 19, 2009
Fine art captures the timeless beauty and emotional impact of a beautiful landscape. Plein Air artists work outdoors from nature, re-creating on canvas the colors and connection to the land. Start your fine art collection or add to it with an image of one of your favorite Frisco area views. Plein Air art is usually small in size, ranging from 8×10″ to 20×24″, comes already framed, and is often very affordable – it’s a great way to get started in fine art collecting!
Artists will paint in “Plein Air” around Frisco on Saturday, July 18th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. It is FREE to view the artists at work. Bicycle, walk or drive to painting locations. Pick up a FREE map at Buffalo Mountain Gallery, located on Granite Ave. behind the Backcountry Brewery and Abbey’s Coffee. On Saturday evening, join us at Buffalo Mountain Gallery for the Patron’s Party, the first opportunity to view and buy the finished art, and enjoy refreshments and meet the artists. Tickets are $35/person and are available from CDLT, on-line, or at the door. The art will remain on display and for sale on Sunday, July 19 at Buffalo Mountain Gallery from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
A significant portion of the proceeds from the sale of the art benefits the Land Conservation Programs of Continental Divide Land Trust.
